Pastor John Piper describes Christian hope (or Christian confidence) as a tree. From this tree of hope will grow Christian fruit (joy, love, boldness, endurance)...so we should be rejoicing in our hope. If we are not rejoicing in our hope, maybe we don't understand our hope.
